Engineering Pathways is a joint project of the North Carolina Community College System and the University of North Carolina engineering programs to build and develop the pathways for students to begin engineering studies at a community college and then transfer as seamlessly as possible to one of the UNC engineering programs. To accomplish this goal, we have the following objectives:
- Encourage growth of high level mathematics and science courses along with freshman and sophomore engineering courses in the community colleges.
- Serve as a communication tool for students interested in engineering careers and pathways to success.
- Provide information on course offerings on a regional basis so students may take needed classes at local community colleges.
- Provide course materials for NCCCS programs and faculty interested in offering Physics I and II along with Introduction to engineering, engineering graphics, and engineering statics.
We encourage you to review this web site. If you are a community college faculty member, please join us for our meetings. If you are a potential engineering student, please contact your local community college or the UNC programs of interest to you.
